2023 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 19

For today’s prompt, write a customized poem. Could be about the process of customizing a car or how you order a meal. In some ways, a customized anything is an ideal form of that anything (if that helps you figure a way in to this poem).

Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Customized Poem:

“The Perfect Day”

We could wake up in Paris
or along the River Thames,
have a beignet in New Orleans
or gourmet tacos in Austin.
Honestly, anything will do
as long as I spend it with you.
