2023 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 6
For today’s prompt, take the phrase “Better (blank),” replace the blank with a new word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem. Possible titles might include: “Better Watch Out,” “Better Late Than Never,” “Better Luck Next Time,” and/or “Better You Than Me.” Better get poeming!
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Better Blank Poem:
“Better I Don’t Know”
What happens at night,
the things that creep and
crawl without the light,
let them do their thing,
I suppose, as long
as I never know.
Spiders, roaches, and
the rest can wander
through my nightly rest
as my dreams at night
are filled with the things
most seen in the light.
