2024 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 22

For today’s prompt, write a machine poem. Your poem could be about a machine or just mention one in passing. Of course, there are very complex machines in our technologically advanced culture, but don’t overlook simple machines like levers, pulleys, and screws.

Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Machine Poem:

“When the Robots Come,” by Robert Lee Brewer

When the robots come to their own
way of processing their meanings,
will they choose to leave us alone?
When the robots come to their own
conclusions of what’s right and wrong,
will we learn in time their leanings?
When the robots come to their own
way of processing their meanings?
