Here’s my attempt at a story set where the devil goes on vacation:
Father-Son Trip
In his off-time, The Devil—who preferred Lu, thanks—liked to visit Thingvellir National Park. Icelandic tourism was picking up (TikTok had not been his best idea, in retrospect), but it was still worth it to escape the humidity and horrors of Hell.
He was more than a little surprised when God asked if He could come along. It wasn’t as if they never talked, but their father-son relationship had definitely changed after the whole casting-out thing.
“It’s peaceful,” God had said.
They looked out over the landscape, soft moss and craggy rocks.
“Best place you ever made,” Lu said.
