2023 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 9

For today’s prompt, write a direction poem. Up, down. North, south, east, west. This way, that way. There are so many directions available, including the type of directions that are more like instructions. No matter what direction you take today, I hope it’s poetic.

Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Direction Poem:

“My Way”

I’ve traveled so many miles
over mountains and rivers
through valleys and fields
that you’d think I would know
which way is my way and
which way is the highway
but I’m still searching ever
wandering lost in my thoughts
with no way that makes
more sense than any other.
