Wednesday Poetry Prompts: 722

For this week’s prompt, write a time poem. Maybe it’s because we’re at the end of one year and about to reset the calendars for a new one, or maybe it’s because I feel like I’m always running out of time this time of year, but let’s explore time in any way you wish. Long time, short time, time travel, watches, clocks, etc.

Now it’s time to poem!

Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

It’s free, easy, and the comments (for the most part) don’t require manual approval (though I check from time to time for those that do).

Here’s my attempt at a Time Poem:

“Hydroplane,” by Robert Lee Brewer

It may have only been a moment,
a few seconds, but it felt longer,
of course, but nothing compared
to the ripple of time outward
causing me to slow down when
ever it rains, for fear of spiraling.
