Wednesday Poetry Prompts: 670
For this week’s prompt, write an autumn poem. Yes, it’s that time once again. In the northern hemisphere, the nights are getting longer, the air is cooling (slightly), and well, there’s suddenly a lot of Halloween decorations available at the local grocery store. So write a poem to celebrate (or lament) the season.
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

It’s free, easy, and the comments (for the most part) don’t require manual approval (though I check from time to time for those that do).

Here’s my attempt at an Autumn Poem:
“equinox,” by Robert Lee Brewer
dust off the brooms
& hang a spider web
for every trick
haunting for treats
like spirits howling
with the wind
