For this week’s prompt, write a color poem. The poem could be about a specific color or a wide spectrum of colors. Or you could just mention a color in passing. Or you could include a color in the title of your poem and go from there.
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Color Poem:
“raspberry,” by Robert Lee Brewer
& i think i loved her too
that person prince sang about
in the song that would mix in
on late-night saturday night
music mixes i would record
on my clock slash tape deck
& even now when i hear him
it takes me back to that time
of him working in a five
& dime & a beret & her
knowing how to give a kiss
so that you had to love her
