Wednesday Poetry Prompts: 698

For this week’s prompt, write a vehicle poem. The poem could be about a car, bus, motorcycle, jet, yacht, cart, sled, space shuttle, go kart, or any number of other vehicles. And don’t forget that a vehicle can also be a thing used to express something else (like a poem could be a vehicle for communicating your thoughts on vehicles). So jump on a skateboard, train, or helicopter and poem away!

Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Vehicle Poem:

“BMX,” by Robert Lee Brewer

There’s nothing like my Huffy bike
for getting all around this town
with no surface that I can’t strike
while gliding on my Huffy bike
across road, trail, or railroad spike.
Whether the hills go up or down,
nothing can stop my Huffy bike
from getting all around this town.
