Wednesday Poetry Prompts: 704
For this week’s prompt, write road poem. Maybe you’re traveling along the road. If so, who knows how you’re traveling on the road. But also, perhaps, you’re just hanging by the road. Maybe you have a lemonade stand or find yourself stealth camping or something else entirely.
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Road Poem:
“at the intersection of the future & the past,” by Robert Lee Brewer
at the intersection of the future & the past
there is a clock that claims the present exists
but that is just a lie the officials tell to keep
the world moving faster than is necessary
maybe if you waited she would’ve shown &
that moment never disappears on the horizon
even as the end rushes ever closer & now
is just a place where everything piles up
